Prescription, Lab Tests and Results
Repeat prescriptions can now be done online
You can request a repeat prescription online by registering here but please be aware that prescriptions require 72 hours to process.
There are strict health guidelines around providing repeat prescriptions without seeing the patient. In the case of having to see the doctor for a prescription, but unable to get an appointment, a one month prescription will be given as a stop gap until you can get an appointment. Prescription charges will apply when not seeing a doctor to cover the costs of administration, nurse, and doctor time to check your notes and complete your request. We want to make sure you are completely looked after.
If you have an agreement with your doctor which allows for prescriptions between visits we put a note on your file so your care team knows. Wherever possible the doctor will write prescriptions to cover the period needed If you don’t have an agreement, then we will usually suggest you make an appointment to see your doctor and discuss this with them.
Lab test forms
If you require Lab test form you can obtain theses at your doctor’s appointment or by phoning in and being lodged onto the ‘Phone Nurse Schedule’.
Lab test results
All patients have the right to be fully informed about the results of any tests, investigations, lab results etc.
It's our policy at the practice to contact patients with SIGNIFICANT results as soon as possible after we've been notified of the results by the specialist or laboratory. It's important that you let us know any change in phone numbers and/or address so we can get hold of you.
Because of the sheer volume of results that come into the practice every day, it makes it difficult for us to speak to every patient directly, so we don't contact patients with NORMAL results unless specifically asked by patients to do this.
You can now check your lab results if you are signed up to our patient portal. Click here to register
